How we give you a product to be proud of....
The camera is one of the most important parts of the process and we use both the Sony EVW300 broadcast camera and a range of Mini High Definition DV cameras. We can use up to five cameras on a shoot, three of which are usually statically mounted. One is usually mounted on a Kestrel Camera Crane (space allowing) which delivers stunning overhead moving shots. The combination of angles captured is then edited into a seamless presentation.
In post production, we utilise the latest version of the industry standard Sony Vegas editing software. Used with DVD architect, the leading DVD authoring software package, this allows for content typically only available to much more expensive companies. For instance, imagine how a Dolby Digital 5.1 mix of your live show would sound! With PlayPauseClick, you get it. Widescreen production is also standard (unless you prefer otherwise), as is Copy Protection to help stop others from ripping the content of your DVD.
All editing and DVD authoring is carried out at our custom built production studio in Nottinghamshire. In this venue we devote many hours to making yourl video production the very best it can be.
After transferring the video and audio streams to PC it is then synchronised together. The next stage is to cut away the bad shots and decide which of the remaining video to use. At this point, the creative process begins. We choose the cut points, angles, effects and other elements to employ, resulting in a precut of the finished article. We render the footage and watch it back until we are satisfied that we have the optimum cut.
At this point the sound mix begins. We usually request a recording from the sound desk to use as a master track. Using that as a reference, we add the sound captured from the cameras. This gives a number of tracks to work with and the result is a 5.1 surround sound mix of the event. Audience reaction, ambient sound, the whole `feel` of the show is mixed and blended into a smooth soundtrack.
The last part is to structure your DVD into an easy to navigate disc. Using motion backgrounds, sound loops, animations and other elements the disc has the same characteristics that people are familiar with from shop bought discs.
The result is a product we are proud of and you can have confidence in.
